Strategic Development & Analysis at Wendy’s helps to create our Market Plan by partnering with teams across the organization to support our long-range growth objectives. In this role, you will need to think both strategically in terms of what markets and customers we should serve, as well as tactically to provide analytics and support for the day-to-day demands of our development teams. The role reports to the Manager – Global Strategic Development & Analysis and works with teams across Development, Operations, Finance, Marketing & Consumer Insights, and Business Intelligence.

 

This job is located at our Dublin Restaurant Support Center (DRSC) in Dublin, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytics to identify high priority Potential Trade Areas (PTA) in partnership with the Real Estate team. Partner with consumer insights, data science, and GIS teams to continue to evolve sales forecasting capabilities and identify the attributes driving restaurant level success.
  • Help to execute our New Restaurant Development policy by working with key internal and external stakeholders to provide Encroachment / Impact estimates. Provide hindsight analytics to continue to inform the Policy to help inform network plan.
  • Help to create data-driven content as part of key strategic initiatives to inform decisions related to our Development Long Range Plan and other critical workstreams. Key audiences will include Executive Team, Board of Directors, and other senior level decision makers.
  • Help to support AOP, forecast, and long-range planning processes. Provide support for scorecard initiatives to track progress against KPI. Provide analytics and insights to identify development trends and inform execution of the plan.  
  • Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned or required. From time to time may support third party consulting engagements for strategic workstreams.

Minimum Wage

USD $77,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Wage

USD $131,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications

 

  • Education: 4-year degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in strategy, real estate, consulting, or finance with prior experience in development market planning a plus.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple and diverse tasks / projects; strong attention to detail and outstanding follow-through.
  • Solid analytical skills, experience turning big data into insights; demonstrated expertise in Excel. Desire and curiosity to learn more.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, team-based setting and to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

 

Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Onsite

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
