Overview

The Field Technology Manager position plays a critical role in supporting the overall successful execution of the IT strategy at the Division/field level by partnering with Division corporate and Franchise leadership organizations on technology initiatives.  The role will ensure technology initiatives and strategies are communicated, planned, and supported with a high level of success.  Works with Engineering, Operations, I.T., vendors and Franchisees to deliver technology to our restaurants. This includes technology for Image Activation, New Construction, Remodels, Refreshes and special projects.

Responsibilities

Manage and responsible for scope of work, reviewing hardware, pricing and installation quotes for accuracy. Review timelines, blue prints, local code requirements, set expectations and deliver a functional technology solution defined by the project deliverables as well as to provide issue identification, summarization, and analysis to drive improvements in technical solutions impacting restaurant operations.

Lead the coordination, communication, and delivery of all technology including Image Activation, NROs, Remodels, Refresh, Transitions, Acquisition/Dispositions, etc. Includes the removal of existing equipment, coordination of new equipment orders, site readiness, installation, testing, and turnover.

Direct and ensure installation policy and procedures are followed with vendors, resolving technical issues, and ensuring deliverables are met. Follow-up and drive deployment installation issues, process gaps or update new or existing process gaps or issues to resolution.

Lead the communication process within the field regarding technology including the translation of the technology vision into a meaningful operational conversation breaking down what the project or work is, what it means to restaurants and the overall impact to their business. EX: EOL equipment, as well as stay informed of the latest developments / innovations in the restaurant technology field, including new products and services.  Participate as a Subject Matter Expert for technology projects that are dictated by current business needs and technological developments.

Own and execute field level operations training for all technology initiatives including new technology functionality, technology related to new openings such as kiosks, etc. Schedule and execute all field leadership team and multi-unit train-the-trainer sessions. Monitor and report out on restaurant level training/implementation readiness pre-launch of any system level technology solutions.

Provide statements of work and timelines based on construction and project needs.

Provide implementation/installation timelines, estimates and deliverables for assigned programs.

Support process/procedures for technology-oriented programs.

Provide solutions to problems or gaps within any process and implement updates or new processes to create a problem resolution.

Minimum Wage

USD $99,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Wage

USD $174,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree, or commensurate experience

Experience:

  • 5+ years of information technology or restaurant related experience, including 2 or more years of direct management experience.
  • Project planning, and verbal and written communication skills.

Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Able to work with other IT teams, vendor partners, Executives, Franchisees and Operations/Digital/Marketing departments to determine solutions and best practices and leads the effort to implement and support restaurants. Communications process and planning.

Experience: Knowledge of Wendy’s/QSR technology industry trends
